Williamson County attorney sends cease and desist order to IT director
Williamson County attorney Jana Duty has sent a cease and desist order to the county's IT director. She is demanding he remove computer spyware she claims is monitoring her employees' use of the Internet. Duty says the information that flows through her office is attorney-client privileged. The publisher of the Arab newspaper “Kul al-Arab” was released to house arrest Thursday afternoon. He had been accused of stealing information from a competing Arab newspaper, “A-Sinara,” using a computer virus. The newspaper's technology director will remain in jail until Sunday, police said.
